Handicrafts are the one category on Zadruga where you are not buying an ingredient but time. Hand-knitted wool socks from the north, woodcarving, coastal and Kotor ceramics, embroidery and willow baskets are made piece by piece rather than in batches, and no two come out identical.

You will find woollen textiles, woodwork, ceramics, embroidery, jewellery and baskets here. Ask about the material and its origin — local sheep wool, Kotor stone, walnut — and about the hours involved, which is the only honest measure of what handwork costs. Most makers will work to order if you need a specific size or colour.
